Drink Driving Avoid System
Electronic engineering projects are easier than other projects and this project involve in detection of both drunken drivers and high temperatures during driving of automobiles thus avoiding more number of real accidents in daily life of the common people and also enhance the road safety.

The necessary components required for this project are alcohol sensor, ADC 0808(Analog to Digital Converter), LDR, brake Indicator, LM35 (Temperature sensor), relay and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The alcohol sensor senses or detects the presence of alcohol whereas the ADC 0808 is used to process and convert analog signal into its digital form. LM 35 is a temperature sensor which is an integrated circuit and its voltage obtained as output is linearly proportional to its temperature. Normally these temperatures are calibrated in kelvin standard itself and there is no need of centigrade conversion process. Whenever a drunken fellow is driving a car he must face various driving consequences and in this project the presence of alcohol in his body can be easily detected by alcohol sensor and the information is passed over the microcontroller through ADC. Then the brake indicator stops, bulb turns OFF and the LCD displays. All these processes are carried out automatically and are controlled by microcontroller.
Microcontroller comes under embedded system which is a predefining system carrying out a specific task with the help of combination of both hardware and software. These embedded systems are automated systems which are used in transportation industries, construction industries, building ,premises diagnosis etc. The LCD, operating in a 4-bit rate is interfaced with the microcontroller(AT 89s52)and the output port of LDR is also interfaced with the microcontroller which is in digital form. The LCD operates in two modes namely 4-bit rate and 8-bit rate and the alcohol sensor is connected with the ADC 0808. Nowadays driving statistics says that most of the accidents happens due to rash driving and drunk driving. In order to overcome the drunk driving problem this project will be highly useful and the alcohol sensor used in this project senses the presence of alcohol from 220 ppm onwards.
