CAN Based Allocated management system for Autonomous all-terrain vehicle
There is a list of major projects for ECE students which deals with control area network programming and this project tells about the autonomous terrain vehicles where the CAN bus programming is used to transfer data from various nodes and its controlling process can be accompanied by the CAN bus.
The specialty of this CAN bus is to make the microcontrollers and the interfaced devices to communicate and transfer data between each other without the use of host computer. This message based protocol is not only used in the automobiles but also in maritime, medical and automation industries etc. This project deals with transferring of data with two lines for interconnected with the cities of longer distance between them. The different types of data are displayed in both LED’s and LCD’s but in this scenario LCD is considered for display. For better reliability, no data corruption and transfer of data over long distances we use this CAN network for autonomous all-terrain vehicle system.
The CAN bus microcontroller comes under the design of embedded systems where it performs a predefined specific task with the combination of both software and hardware. The primary block consist of text selection keys, location keys, LCD displays, CAN controller and the power supplies are interfaced to the micro-controller. The secondary block is same as the primary block but there is a slight difference where an integrate chip of robot driver along with two dc motors are interfaced. Temperature sensors are also used to sense the temperature of the operating system and the data is securely transferred over long networks by a CAN program. Once the data is transmitted or received a reminder and an intimation are given by the nodal address over the central station.
